Dr. David Kergosien
Dr. David Kergosien earned his veterinary degree from Mississippi State University in 2000. Prior to entering veterinary school, Dr. Kergosien completed his Master of Science degree in Immunology at Mississippi State in 1996. Dr. Kergosien trained in small animal surgery at Medvet Medical Center for Pets in Columbus, OH. Dr. Kergosien became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2006.

Dr. Brian K. Sidaway
Dr. Brian K. Sidaway graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After graduation, he completed an internship at the University of Missouri and practiced general medicine for 2 years in Tennessee. Dr. Sidaway completed his surgical training at Mississippi State University where he also obtained a Master's degree. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2005. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. His interests include orthopedics and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Sidaway became a proud member of the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center in July 2010.

Dr. Maria Rivera
Dr. Maria Rivera is a native of Puerto Rico. She moved to the United States in 1994 to pursue her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. Upon graduation she attended Ohio State University, where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. She returned to Louisiana to complete a rotating internship in small animal surgery, internal medicine and emergency medicine at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center. In 2003, Dr Rivera decided to make Louisiana her permanent residence and is now working exclusively for the surgery service.

Dr. Anemone Andronescu
Dr. Anemone Andronescu is a native of Bucharest, Romania. She immigrated to New York City in 1991. Dr. Andronescu received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2006 after finishing her clinical year at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine & Surgery in 2007 in Long Island, New York. Dr. Andronescu completed two surgical internships in 2008 and 2009 at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center. She has worked as a relief veterinarian in the Baton Rouge area as well as a Visiting Faculty Member at LSU's School of Veterinary Medicine in the Small Animal Clinics Department. We are happy to announce that Dr. Andronescu has joined our practice again in July 2010 to complete her surgical residency program with the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center.
