Dr. Kenneth Arceneaux

One of the founders of Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center and a native of Carencro, Louisiana, Dr. Arceneaux received his DVM degree from LSU in 1993 and then completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. He returned to LSU and completed his residency in the Small Animal Internal Medicine Department. In 1998, after completing his credentials and residency program, he became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. His special interests include infectious diseases, cardiology, emergency and critical care medicine, ultrasonography and gastroenterology. He has published scientific articles on canine Blastomycosis. He lives in Covington with his dog Carly, a golden retriever mix, and four cats, Jonathan, Pete, Gabe and Jonah. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, music, hunting and fishing.



Dr. Jessica Blache Dr. Jessica Lin Blache

Dr. Lin Blache graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine from Texas A&M University, after which she completed a rotating internship at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center. Dr. Lin Blache then went on to a three-year residency program, also at Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center, under the mentorship of Dr. Kenneth Arceneaux. She recently passed her board examination from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Her special interests include endoscopy, ultrasound, and fungal and endocrine diseases. She has two cats and a three-legged dog named "Legolas."

 

 

Dr. Kristin Hebert-Fisher

Dr. Hebert, a native of Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After graduation, she completed an internship in internal medicine and surgery at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center. She has remained on staff since that time, joining the internal medicine service. She has become a great asset to the internal medicine team due to her excellent medical skills and patient compassion.



Dr. Shannon Stroup

Dr. Shannon Stroup grew up on a small farm in Covington surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, geese, rabbits, donkeys, and the occasional squirrel and hermit crab. After pursuing her undergraduate degree in North Carolina, she returned to LSU for vet school. Dr. Stroup practiced in Georgia, Virginia, and Maryland before deciding to further her veterinary career with an internal medicine residency at Auburn University. After a one year detour to North Carolina post-residency (thanks Katrina), she has finally returned home to stay. Her interests include endocrinology, hematology, and chocolate.
