Dr. Donna Stockton
Dr. Donna Stockton, a native of Texas, graduated with her doctorate from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduation, she completed a one year internship at the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center where she now practices as an emergency veterinarian. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. Her areas of interests include internal medicine and critical care medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Stockton enjoys spending time with family, fishing, gardening, and following college football (Gig ‘em Ags, Geaux Tigers).

Dr. Freyda Staten
Dr. Freyda Staten is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Staten completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 from Louisiana State University. She returned to Chicago to practice medicine, but missed Louisiana’s fabulous Gumbo and crawfish and returned in 1999. Her primary interest is in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care and she has been an integral part of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care team since its beginning. She lives in Metairie with her kitty cats and spends much of her free time cleaning up after them.

Dr. Laura B Meaux
Dr. Laura Meaux, originally from Metairie, finished her doctorate with honors, graduating cum laude from LSU in 2001. She joined LVRC in August of 2006 as one of our emergency clinicians. In her off time, Laura and her husband, care for their daughter and four pets, and enjoy restoring her gardens since Hurricane Katrina.

Dr. Jessica Cullen
Dr. Jessica Cullen graduated from St. George's University in Grenada with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in June 2010 after completing a clinical year at LSU's School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA. She is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society and American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Cullen served as the Vice President of the St. George's University Chapter International Veterinary Student Association in 2008-2009. She worked for 6 years in Hyde Park, New York in private practice. She will complete a preceptorship with the Louisiana Veterinary Referral Center in July 2010 and will join our practice as a full-time Emergency Doctor thereafter. Her interests include small animal medicine and surgery, alternative/holistic medicine as well as emergency and critical care. Dr. Cullen enjoys spending her personal time practicing yoga, hiking and learning new languages.
